A Texas A&M quarterback who has been with the Aggies program for a pair of seasons will reportedly head to the transfer portal.
Miles O’Neill, a member of the Aggies’ 2024 recruiting class, will enter the portal when it opens on Friday, he told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday. O’Neill will have three years of eligibility remaining.
O’Neill, originally from Massachusetts, was rated as a 4-star recruit by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings and was considered the country’s No. 22 quarterback when he signed out of the class of 2024.
During his time in College Station, he saw limited time on the field. As a true freshman in 2024, he came in on mopup duty in a blowout win against New Mexico State, going 5-of-6 for 51 yards and throwing a touchdown.
He played in seven games as a redshirt freshman in 2025. On Sept. 6 against Utah State, the Aggies’ second game of the season, he completed three of his five passes for 99 yards and recorded his second career touchdown pass.
A total of eight Texas A&M players are expected to enter the transfer portal when it officially opens. That includes defensive back Bryce Anderson, who has recorded 116 tackles and two interceptions in four seasons with the Aggies.
