WAYNE COUNTY, N.Y. — New York State Police (NYSP) say they arrested a man from the town of Ontario who received multiple charges on Tuesday for being involved in a domestic dispute that occurred in Wayne County on the previous day.
Officials say they arrested Thomas G. Witt, 55, of Ontario, NY, after police responded to reports at a home on Ridge Road in the town of Williamson for a domestic dispute that occurred on the previous morning.
Officials say Witt unlawfully entered the home of the dispute and fought with a female victim. Witt then threatened the victim with a knife and obstructed her breathing, reports say.
Police say the victim told police that Witt made threatening comments, which made her fear for her life, as she was unable to call for help.
The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) eventually located Witt at a home on Route 104 in the town of Ontario in Ontario County, where he was arrested.
