Testament comes off a major 2025 success with their latest album Para Bellum, which has been praised for combining classic thrash energy with elements of death and black metal.
Guitarist Eric Peterson said performing their older albums like The Legacy and The New Order in previous tours helped the band capture the raw intensity needed for their new material.
“Doing The New Order and The Legacy in its entirety, doing Practice What You Preach… playing all that thrash again… it gets me in the right frame of mind for writing riffs,” Peterson explained. He added that working with new drummer Chris Dovas infused fresh energy, bringing modern metal influences into the mix.
Fans can expect high-energy shows reminiscent of Testament’s 1980s prime, with the band still performing with intense enthusiasm. Despite being in their 50s and 60s, Billy says the band’s live performances remain full of energy.
“We’re running around, we’re jumping, we’re still banging our head when it needs to be banged. It’s still a very energetic show,” he shared.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the genre, the tour promises to deliver thrash metal at its finest, mixing nostalgia with modern edge.
