Anaheim police officer involved in Eastvale crash, suffers non-life-threatening injuries

An Anaheim motorcycle officer collided with a car on Friday afternoon, Dec. 12, in Eastvale, according to authorities, and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

A sedan was making a left turn when it crashed with the motorcyclist near Limonite Avenue and Eastvale Gateway shortly before 4 p.m., said Riverside County sheriff’s Lt. Deirdre Vickers. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene.

    Bits of the police motorcycle laid about as deputies responded to the scene.

    The motorcyclist is a sergeant with Anaheim police, said Sgt. Matt Sutter, a department spokesperson.

    The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision.
