Warner Chappell Music has announced the consolidation of its global sync operations, bringing frontline, catalog and production music sync teams under Rich Robinson, longtime executive vp of global synchronization and media.
As part of the restructuring, Gavin Caroll, vp of creative licensing for production music, will now report directly to Robinson, creating a more integrated approach to pitching across WCM’s full repertoire. Robinson will also oversee the audio asset division, led by Kailey Tenn, which manages WCM’s extensive catalog of recordings to streamline sync delivery for clients and partners.

The move aims to strengthen WCM’s global film, TV and media music division, which Robinson continues to lead. Under his leadership, the team has forged relationships with major players like A24, Artists Equity and EA Games, opening new opportunities for WCM’s roster. Robinson’s tenure has seen several high-profile sync placements, including Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” in Nike’s first Super Bowl ad in decades, as well as features in Bridget Jones’ Diary and Babygirl. His team also works closely with estates of iconic artists such as Tom Petty, David Bowie and George Michael to keep iconic catalogs relevant.
Robinson, who joined WCM in 2018 and became evp in 2019, previously held senior sync roles at EMI and worked as a music consultant for Saatchi & Saatchi.
He said the integration will pay dividends, noting, “By bringing these teams together, we’re unlocking new creative potential — working smarter, moving faster, and delivering a fully integrated, end-to-end experience for our partners.”
Carianne Marshall, COO of WCM, added: “We’re always looking for ways to evolve and ensure Warner Chappell serves as a forward-thinking music publisher – built for the modern era and ready for the future. This move is an important step in working even more strategically to deliver the greatest possible value for our songwriters. Rich and his team have done an exceptional job driving our sync business, and with these functions under his leadership, Warner Chappell will continue to innovate and lead in this important space.”
