The Greeley Tribune, in partnership with McCreery & Sun of Colorado, invites the community to participate in its 40th annual “Wishes Come True” program, which aims to ensure every local senior receiving assistance from nonprofits receives a gift this year.
Currently, 108 seniors still need a community member to fulfill their holiday wish list.
To participate, go to wishes.GreeleyTribune.com to view the online cart. Each senior’s listing includes an item or items from their personal wish list, typically clothing, gift cards, sweets, blankets, pet toys, perfumes or colognes.
Then, “purchase” the senior or seniors you wish to sponsor, and you should immediately receive an email confirming the senior’s name, identification number and where they live.
After purchasing the gifts, wrap them and attach the branded gift tag — which is available to print on the website — filled out with the participant’s name, agency and order number.
All wrapped and tagged gifts must be dropped off by Friday at McCreery & Sun of Colorado, 3455 W. F St. Unit 3, Greeley. Drop-off is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Anyone wishing to contribute without shopping can make direct financial donations through the program website. We at the Greeley Tribune will act as “elves” to claim and fulfill remaining wish tags on behalf of donors.
The “Wishes Come True” program relies on the generosity of the Greeley community to bring comfort and joy to its seniors during the holiday season.
