"Sorry, I genuinely thought this was the audition for The Gingerbread Prince Saves Christmas in Nebraska," Prince Harry told the late-night host, 61.
A confused Colbert replied, "What? No. I mean, that sounds like a fantastic movie, but you're an actual prince. Why would you want to be in one of these movies?"
To that, Prince Harry pointed out, "Well, you Americans are obsessed with Christmas movies, and you're clearly obsessed with royalty. So why not?"
"Hold on, hold on. Look, I wouldn't say we're obsessed with royalty," Colbert argued.
"Really?" the British royal responded. "I heard you elected a king," referencing the No Kings protests across the nation in June.
Colbert conceded, "That's a fair point."
"And after making such a big deal about my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather George III," Prince Harry continued, " prompting the host to point out, "Well, we was kind of a jerk."

After he has "skills," Prince Harry pointed out that he can ride a horse, fly a helicopter and "ride a horse in a helicopter."
When Colbert asked if he had any connections to famous TV actresses, Prince Harry quipped, "I might know one," of his wife, Meghan Markle.
"Listen, I'll do anything," he insisted. "I'll record a self-tape, I'll fly myself to an audition, settle a baseless lawsuit with the White House—all the things you people in TV do!" referencing ABC settling a lawsuit with Trump for $15 million.
"Hey, Harry, I didn't do any of those things," Colbert replied, to which the Duke of Sussex suggested, "Maybe that's why you're canceled."
In July, Colbert announced that The Late Show would end in May 2026 after ABC canceled it, sparking a wave of backlash from fellow late-night hosts, celebrities, and fans alike.
