Chicago Bulls rookie Noa Essengue will miss the rest of the regular season due to injury, head coach Billy Donovan said Wednesday.
According to Donovan, Essengue is expected to undergo shoulder surgery and will miss the remainder of the campaign after appearing in just two games.
Essengue made his NBA debut in late November, going 0-for-3 from the field and registering one steal for Chicago in two appearances.
He has not suited up for the Bulls since November 24, scratched from the lineup in the last three games.
The Bulls selected Essengue with the 12th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft out of France. He played in 18 EuroCup games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 12.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
The Bulls are in action Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets at the United Center. After starting the season with a 6-1 record they have since gone 3-10, entering action in 10th place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.
