Arizona (9-3, 6-3 Big 12) appeared at No. 25 before their 23-7 win against Arizona State in the Territorial Cup on Friday.
Arizona State (8-4, 6-3 Big 12) were out of the latest rankings after appearing at No. 20 last week.
Three Big 12 teams were ranked ahead of Arizona: No. 4 Texas Tech, No. 11 BYU and No. 15 Utah. Texas Tech and BYU will face other in the Big 12 Championship game on Saturday.
Arizona and Arizona State will now wait to see which bowl games they will play in. Bowl game announcements will be made on Dec. 7.
