The Chicago Cubs have announced their first Wrigley Field musical act of the 2026 season, with Tyler Childers appearing at the iconic ballpark.
Childers, a multi-time Grammy nominee who will be touring in support of his 2025 album “Snipe Hunter,” will bring his tour to Wrigley Field in July, the Cubs announced on Tuesday.
According to the club, the concert will take place on Sunday, July 12, and will also feature Jon Batiste and Wednesday.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, December 12 at 11 a.m., the Cubs said.
Childers’ is the first concert to be announced for Wrigley Field next year, though other acts will also appear at the Friendly Confines. Comedian John Mulaney will be the first stand-up comic to ever headline at the ballpark when he brings his “Mister Whatever Tour” to town for a July 11 show.
The show will be the finale of Mulaney’s tour, and he announced the stop during an appearance at Wrigley Field during the 2025 baseball season. Tickets are still on-sale for the event.
The stadium will also play host to the iconic Savannah Bananas for the first time in 2026, with the team taking the field from July 24-26.
Childers captured Emerging Artist of the Year at the Americana Music Honors in 2018 after releasing his album “Purgatory,” and has since released a series of hit records, with his last three albums reaching the top-10 on the U.S. charts.
