A man died after a shooting on Thanksgiving in Lakewood.
Deputies responded around 2:40 p.m. to a shooting near Lakewood Boulevard and South Street, south of the 91 Freeway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
A man with a gunshot wound was taken to a hospital, where he died.
A potential suspect, also a man, was taken into custody, the Sheriff’s Department said.
News video from the scene showed investigators were focused on a black pickup truck that may be tied to the shooting.
No further details were immediately available. The shooting remained under investigation.
