OGDEN, N.Y. — The Town of Ogden will hold it’s annual Magical Holiday Celebration and Christmas Tree Lighting on December 5 at the Ogden Community Center, starting at 5:30 p.m.
This year’s event will feature a new highlight: the town’s first Christmas fireworks show, made possible by community sponsors.
The festivities will begin inside Ogden Town Hall with holiday games, crafts, storytelling and a visit from Santa. The hall will be decorated for the season and showcase festive vehicles from local partners. Music will be provided by the Mark Time Marchers, and the Chef’s Mobile Kitchen food truck will offer food for purchase.
At 7 p.m., the celebration will move to the front lawn for Christmas carols led by the Robert Dean Chorale, followed by the lighting of the town’s Christmas tree. Free hot chocolate and treats will be available before the tree lighting.
Organizers will be collecting nonperishable food items during the event for the Spencerport Ecumenical Food Shelf. The town will also launch its donation drive for the Pirate Toy Fund, accepting new, unopened toys in a drop box outside the receptionist’s office.
