FCS Playoffs: How Strong Were the 24 Teams’ Opponents During the Regular Season?

All of the teams that qualified for the 2025 FCS playoffs are battled-tested. It’s just some faced more difficult opponents than others during the regular season.

There wasn’t a bigger nonconference matchup during the 2025 FCS regular season than national powers South Dakota State and Montana State meeting on Sept. 6.

SDSU traveled to Bozeman and won 30-24 in a double-overtime thriller.
