Mizzou swimming and diving signed five exceptional student-athletes for the 2026-27 academic year. The five swimmers include three top 250 recruits, according to Swimcloud’s recruiting rankings.

Mizzou Head Coach Andrew Grevers announced the addition of Tori Yamamura (Fly/IM), who will join the Tigers as the fifth ranked recruit out of California, Amelia Lee (Back/Fly) and Tess Stavropoulos (Free) who are the fourth ranked recruits out of their respective home states and Natálie Zápotocká (IM/Breast), a European Junior Championships semifinalist. On the men’s side, Grevers added Joe Warnagiris (Back/IM/Breast), a top-10 Virginia recruit.

Oliver Millán de Miguel (Free) will join the Tigers’ 2025-26 roster in January. The Madrid native won the 100 free at CXI Cto. de España Absoluto Open Trials and is a member of Real Canoe Natación Club.

Below are signee profiles for Mizzou’s 2026 recruiting class.

Back/Fly | Nicholasville, Kentucky (West Jessamine HS)

Lee is an All-American and Winter Junior National qualifier in the 200 fly and 100 back. She is a four-year letterwinner and Scholastic All-American that led the Colts to state championship titles in the 200 free relay and 200 medley relay. As an individual, Lee placed second in the 100 fly and third in the 100 back at the state competition.

Lee on choosing Mizzou: “I chose Mizzou because of the strong team culture and the excellent coaching staff! I felt that it was the perfect place to grow more as an athlete and a student!”

    Tess Stavropoulos

Free | Saint Charles, Ill. (Saint Charles North HS)

Stavropoulos is a 12-time NISCA All-American and Conference and Sectional Champion in the 100 and 200 free. A standout for the North Stars, Stavropoulos is a three-time All-State and All-Conference honoree. The Academy Bullets Swim Club member competed at the Speedo Winter Junior Championships – West in the 50, 100 and 200 free races.

Stavropoulos on choosing Mizzou: “I chose Mizzou because I love the energy and vibe of the team, and it feels like the perfect place for me to grow as both a student and an athlete.”

    Joe Warnagiris

Back/IM/Breast | Winchester, Va. (James Wood HS)

Warnagiris comes to the Tigers after setting the VHSL Class 4A record in the 100 breast. He led the Colonels with repeat State Championship titles in both the 100 breast and 200 IM. The three-time Winchester Star Boys’ Swimmer of the Year also holds four All-State and All-American honors.

Warnagiris on choosing Mizzou: “The team culture was unlike any other school I had visited. It felt like a place I would enjoy spending the next four years as well as a place I could see myself making large improvements.”

    Tori Yamamura

Fly/IM | Valencia, Calif. (Valencia HS)

Yamamura joins Mizzou after being named the “Best of the Rest” butterflyer by Swim Swam Magazine. Yamamura represented the Vikings at the 2025 CIF Southern Section Division I Championships and won the 100 fly. She competes for Canyons Aquatic Club, winning the 100 fly at Speedo Sectionals – La Jolla and qualified for the Speedo Junior National Championships. Yamamura is a two-time NISCA All-America and Scholastic All-American honoree, respectively.

Yamamura on choosing Mizzou: “I chose Mizzou because I loved how close the team was and how much they genuinely enjoyed spending time with each other. I loved the coaches and felt very comfortable around them. I also loved the pool and campus, it’s so beautiful and welcoming.”

    Natálie Zápotocká

IM/Breast | Prague, Czech Republic (OA Kubelíkova)

Zápotocká is trading the spires of Prague for the columns of Mizzou. The Czech swimmer is a two-time qualifier for the European Junior Championships. Zápotocká reached semifinals in the 200 breast and 200 IM in 2024 and the 200 breast in 2025.
