SOUTHINGTON — Mark S. Harvey, 70, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at Windsor House of Champion, following a brief illness.
He was born July 19, 1955, a son of the late Charles Sr. and Donna Harvey.
Mark graduated from LaBrae High School in 1974. He was employed at LaBrae as the head mechanic of the bus garage for 20-plus years.
His favorite things to do were working on cars, going to the casino and playing the lottery. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Donna Harvey, and birth mother, Billie James; brothers, Charles Harvey Jr. and Bud Gower; brothers-in-law, Chuck Yeakel and Skip Kaiser; sister-in-law, Gloria Gower; nephew, Jason Kaiser; niece, Amanda Gower; his grandparents; and aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his sisters, Linda (Rick) Carr, Joann Kaiser, Karen Yeakel, Kim Kascsak, Dorothy James and Robin James; brother, John James; and his nieces and nephews. He also had an extended family for 40-plus years, the Mark and Cora Heatherly family. They were always there for Mark for anything, anytime. Mark is loved and cherished by all of us. May he rest in peace.
A special thank you to the staff at Windsor House at Champion for Mark’s care and comfort while there.
Honoring Mark’s wishes, he has been cremated and there are no services.
