Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced that the state will reward Renuka Singh Thakur with INR 1 crore. The fast bowler played 6 matches and took 3 wickets in the Women’s ODI World Cup.
“A daughter from Himachal Pradesh, Renuka Thakur, played in the World Cup and performed exceptionally well yesterday. She bowled brilliantly, kept the run rate low, and maintained pressure on the South African team. All our daughters played wonderfully. On this proud occasion, I announce, on behalf of the Himachal Pradesh government, a reward of Rs 1 crore for our daughter Renuka Thakur, who has brought immense glory to Himachal and earned a place in history through her performance,” Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu told the media.
