Sweida governor: Salary payments underway after completion of payroll schedules

Authorities in Sweida province began disbursing one month of overdue salaries to employees in 29 public directorates, Governor Mustafa al-Bakkour announced Sunday.

In a statement released via the province’s official Telegram channel, al-Bakkour confirmed that payments followed the finalization and submission of payroll schedules by the respective departments.

Al-Bakkour added that remaining salary payments will be processed in stages, depending on each institution’s compliance with administrative and financial procedures.

He urged all departments to coordinate closely with the Financial Directorate to avoid delays and ensure smooth implementation of the disbursement plan.

The governor also commended the administrative teams that completed payroll documentation on time, noting their efforts in facilitating the payment process and maintaining institutional efficiency.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts by provincial authorities to regularize salary payments and improve coordination between financial and administrative departments in the province.
