ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man in his 70s is hospitalized in critical but stable condition after being hit by a car in the North Winton Village neighborhood.
It happened at the corner of Merchants Road and Berwick Avenue around 2 a.m. on Monday. Rochester Police say he was walking in the road when he was hit. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
An ambulance took the man to Strong Memorial Hospital. No charges have been filed and RPD says weather conditions and the dark may have been a factor.
