OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) -- A shooting Thursday afternoon on Highway 24 is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol Oakland area office.

Per CHP, a possible suspect is detained and there are no reports of any injuries.
Commuters are advised that all eastbound State Road 24 traffic being diverted to State Road 13 north in Oakland. All lanes are shut down.
The motive and circumstances behind the shooting are not yet known.
