Livingston County man pronounced dead in Pavilion crash

PAVILION, N.Y. — A Livingston County man was pronounced dead after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the town of Pavilion in Genesee County.

According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, the Chrysler driven by Larry D. Singer of Leicester, heading south on South Street Road, failed to yield the right of way to a propane delivery truck driven west on Route 20 by an Attica man. The truck hit Singer’s vehicle at around 1:57 p.m. Singer’s Chrysler struck a utility pole and came to rest off the north shoulder of Route 20. The truck overturned on its side off the south shoulder.

    Singer was pronounced dead at the scene by the Genesee County Coroner’s Office.

    The accident is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Crash Management Team. Assisting at the scene were New York State Police, NYSDEC Police, Le Roy and Pavilion police, Le Roy firefighters, and Mercy EMS.
