Team Pittsburgh Elite Aquatics’ Jackson Edwards has verbally committed to Indiana University as a part of the Hoosier men’s recruiting class of 2027.
I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to Indiana University to continue my academic and athletic career. I am very thankful for the support of my family, friends, and club coaches who have guided me to this point in life. Earlier this summer, Edwards set a plethora of lifetime bests at the NCSA Summer Championships (LCM). He marked best times in the 50 free (23.62), 100 free (51.79), 200 free (1:56.45), 50 back (26.76), 100 back (57.64), 50 fly (25.45) and 100 fly (55.81).
Back in March, Edwards notched a few notable short course bests at the ISCA International Senior Cup. There, he swam best times in the 100 free (45.51), 50 fly (22.26), and 100 fly (49.58), finishing 2nd in all three events.
As a sophomore at Bethel Park High School, Edwards turned in a pair of top 12 swims at the Pennsylvania 3A State Championships. His best placing came in the 100 back, touching in 49.25; he also finished 12th in the 50 free, clocking 21.07.

100 Back: 49.02 200 Back: 1:51.67 100 Fly: 49.58 50 Free: 20.51 100 Free: 45.51 200 Free: 1:41.05 500 Free: 4:38.55Indiana took home the title at the 2025 Men’s Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships. Based on Edwards’ best times, he would have finished 26th in the 100 back, 37th in the 100 fly, and 40th th in the 200 free.
Edwards was named both an NISCA All-American with Bethel Park High School, and a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American as a member of Team Pittsburgh Elite Aquatics last season.
Edwards is the first publicized commitment for the Hoosiers for the men’s recruiting class of 2027.
