ROCHESTER, N.Y. – It’ll be a very warm fall day with highs in the upper 70s along the lakeshore to low 80s inland, alongside plenty of sun. Less cool tonight, with temps only getting down to the upper 50s at worst.
Warm again tomorrow with highs once again in the low 80s as high pressure slowly moves off the eastern coast. The warm trend continues Monday with similar temperatures but more clouds, and then finally Tuesday a cold front moves through which will give us some beneficial rain from Tuesday afternoon into the overnight hours. A few tenths of an inch up to an inch of rain is possible, with the most rain likely falling near the Finger Lakes. Make sure to check back in to see how the amount and location forecast develops.
After the cold front comes actual fall-like temperatures. Wednesday will be much cooler with highs only near 60 degrees alongside clear skies, and we slowly climb to the mid 60s to close out the week. There is some disagreement in the modeling as to the chance for rain next weekend, so we are tracking that very closely and will continue to send out updates.
