“I’m very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University Of Virginia. Huge thank you to my family, teammates, friends, and coaches from NCAP and UVA for helping achieve this new opportunity. GO HOOS!”
Dionne competes for Nations Capital Swim Club (NCAP) and competed at US Summer Nationals back in June. There he was 28th in the 200 breast in a 2:17.19. He also time trialed the 100 breast in a 1:05.00.
He finished his long course season at Greensboro Futures. There he posted numerous lifetime bests including a 2:14.87 in the 200 breast for 3rd. He also swam a lifetime best 1:03.55 100 breast and a 4:30.85 in the 400 IM. He will look to continue his momentum into the short course season and begins his junior year at Walter Johnson High School.

Dionne will arrive in fall 2027 as a member of the class of 2031. He is the first public announcement on the men’s side.
