Armitage previously told People that he was working on getting a student pilot's license at the time.
“I hopefully will get my private [pilot ’s license] when I'm 17,” he said, adding, “And I've been having a bunch of fun flying while I'm here in L.A.”
He later shared that he took his mom and grandmother on a flight on his 16th birthday.
"We had a kind of a fun, sort of more subdued celebration in the air,” Armitage explained. “And then right when I touched down, we had a celebration at the airport at Van Nuys, which was so much fun.”
Other than creating new milestones, the actor has remained close with his Young Sheldon co-stars, often sharing casual reunion photos with Reagan Revord and Montana Jordan.
