Trinidad Chambliss is having arugably as much fun as any quarterback in college football right now. After being a Division II star at Ferris State where he led the team to a national championship last season, he transferred to Ole Miss to play Division I football.
He was the backup quarterback to Austin Simmons to start the year, but has become the starter since Simmons suffered an injury against Kentucky. Chambliss has come in and not only kept things afloat, but the offense has taken off to another level.
He has become extremely popular on campus, resulting in a noted increase in ‘Trindad and Tobago’ flags on campus in Oxford. The official Ole Miss football Twitter account even made reference to the trend after Saturday’s win.
He was asked if he plans to acquire a Trinidad and Tobago flag himself.
“No I don’t,” Chambliss said. “He just gave me a pin outside. It’s funny. I love it, all the flags and what not at the tailgate is really cool. My family loves it too.”
I asked Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss if he owned a Trinidad and Tobago flag and if he planned on getting one. Here’s his response: pic.twitter.com/4DA0usWam4
