Pete Carroll vs. Ben Johnson — If you’ll recall, the Bears interviewed Carroll for their head coach vacancy back in January. Carroll told reporters (h/t Sun-Times) that he watched a lot of Bears quarterback Caleb Williams. Between their USC ties and Carroll’s interest in the job, I understand why. Carroll will get an up-close-and-personal look at Williams on Sunday, albeit a different one than he would have had if he landed the job last winter. I look forward to what his counterpart, Ben Johnson, has up his sleeve as Chicago’s football team looks for its first road win of the year.
