Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) has worked with many people during her over four decades on The Young and the Restless. The actress has built close bonds with several of her co-stars, especially Eric Braeden (Victor).
However, he’s not the one she gushed over during a recent interview. Scott appeared on the Soapy podcast, where she had a lot to say about her Y&R family and one person in particular.

While speaking with Soapy hosts, Days of Our Lives star Greg Rikaart and The Bold and the Beautiful star Rebecca Budig, Scott’s on-screen daughter, Amelia Heinle (Victoria), was brought up.
“She’s my heart,” Scott declared. “I adore her. She’s like an angel from heaven. From the first day that I met her, and she had a hard job. She had to come in and replace Heather Tom, and she did a hell of a job. And there was just something so angelic about her. I did then, and I still do want to be with in her airspace if that makes any sense.”
Heinle took over the role of Victoria Newman on The Young and the Restless in 2005, two years after fan favorite Heather Tom exited the role she had played for 13 years.
“On her first day, she had some very emotional scenes. She had to stand there and cry, and she was nervous about us. She’s just remarkable,” Scott revealed about Heinle.
Budig used to work with Heinle on All My Children, so she knew exactly what Scott was talking about regarding Heinle. The CBS soap star agreed with everything Scott said about her former co-star.

Rikaart, who played Kevin on Y&R, recalled watching Scott with her on-screen family in rehearsal. The actor explained that watching Scott, Braeden, Heinle, and Joshua Morrow (Nick) was, at times, like watching a sitcom because they laughed so much.
Scott agreed that they have the best chemistry, which makes her job easier. However, the foursome sometimes got in trouble for letting the laughter get out of control.
“We often get into trouble. Directors will come out ‘knock it off, come on,” Scott explained.
That happens when a group of people are as close as Braeden, Morrow, Scott, and Heinle, who have been playing a TV family for decades.
