The Red Roses celebrated their convincing Rugby World Cup win in front of hordes of adoring fans in London.
England Women’s ran out 33-13 winners against Canada on Saturday. Although it marked the Red Roses third title, it was the first in 11 years for John Mitchell’s squad.
Following the victory, the Red Roses made the short journey to Battersea Power Station to celebrate with the title with the fans.
Despite the grey skies and pouring rain, nothing could dampen jubilant scenes as stars such as Ellie Kildunne, Marlie Packer and captain Zoe Aldcroft met fans at the iconic London landmark.
“We spoke about redefining the women’s game,” Aldcroft said. “It’s not about winning the final, it’s inspiring people to pick up a rugby ball and join their local clubs. That’s been massive for us.”

Leading the fans were former London Irish winger and England international, Topsy Ojo, and fittingly, Katy Daley-Mclean, who captained the side to their last tournament win 11 years ago.

Fresh off her knee slide following Saturday’s win, Botterma led the party for the team into Saturday night.
“I’ve been banned from knee slides by the physio. They can’t say no when we win the World Cup. I thought fudge it, I’m going to do it anyway,” she said.

Botterman, still wearing her red cowboy hat from Saturday, then led a singsong for Sadia Kabeya, to mark her player of the match performance.
“It was nice to get it but it was a whole team performance,” Kabeya told the BBC. “Anyone could have got it in that game.”
Fresh off the win, head coach praised his “hilarious, driven” and at times “annoying” team.
“I’m looking forward to celebrating this for a little bit longer, the beer fridge is looking pretty good, and then we’ll get to Christmas, let the girls work their way back into the club sides, meet in January, and look ahead to the Six Nations,” he added.
