MacDonald football player John Leonard is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Sept. 15-20.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Leonard finished with 45% of the votes. Branham football player Michael Murphy took second.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Leonard scored a 26-yard pick-six and had two sacks in MacDonald’s 51-14 win over Gunn.
