ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two teens were taken into custody Friday night while Rochester Police say they worked to disperse large crowds near East High School.
Police say at around 8:30 p.m. Friday, officers from multiple sections responded to the area of East High and Culver Road and Main Street for large groups of disorderly juveniles.
While police worked to disperse crowds, streets in the area were briefly closed. During the dispersals, police say two teens were taken into custody and later released to their parents.
Police say a 16-year-old girl was arrested for disorderly conduct for continuing to fight near the McDonald’s. They say a 15-year-old girl was also taken into custody for having a stun gun that she threw at an officer.
According to police, it took about an hour to disperse the crowds. Police say they aren’t aware of any injuries as a result.
