A bakery and cafe with roots in Denver is expanding to its first location outside of the city, opening in a house north of Littleton’s Main Street this fall.
Hearth Bakery, which sells handmade pastries, breads and a sister brand of coffee, will open its fourth location at 5610 S. Curtice St., Littleton.
Founder Matt Quinlisk began selling his goods as Hearth at farmers markets after the COVID-19 pandemic started. His first shop opened in Denver in September 2022.

Quinlisk also plans to sell alcohol down the line.
With the opening will come the closing of Tablon Coffee Roasters, at 1441 S. Holly St., Denver, a coffee shop run by Hearth and named after the coffee brewed and sold at the bakeries. The staff of that coffee shop is expected to transfer to the Littleton shop upon opening.
Hearth has shops in Denver’s Highland neighborhood, Uptown, and the River North Art District.
The Denver Post named Hearth one of the metro’s bakeries worth traveling to earlier this month, highlighting the almond croissants and seasonal fruit Danish.
