The WBC have ordered an immediate rematch for Christian Mbilli and Lester Martinez’s barnburning bout over the weekend.
Both men met in a high-octane battle on the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford undercard on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

If Crawford chooses to stick around at 168lbs, then the winner could logically fight ‘Bud’ in the not too distant future.
However, it seems far more plausible that Crawford will vacate his belts, either to move down to middleweight or retire altogether.
If this is to be the case, then the belts will fragment, and the interim strap will be upgraded to a full world title.
This order of events could even take place before Mbilli and Martinez meet for a second time.
