Damascus, SANA- Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar affirmed Saturday that the 62nd Damascus International Fair represented a significant milestone in Syria’s economic repositioning and opened new windows for partnerships based on mutual interests between countries.
“The international participation was remarkable, both in terms of the number of countries and the nature of the delegations. Attendees were motivated by a genuine exploration of business and investment opportunities from various countries, and memoranda of understanding were signed in various fields.” Minister Al-Shaar said in a statement to SANA, considering these meetings as practical steps toward rebuilding confidence in the Syrian economic environment and creating a foundation for viable projects and partnerships.
The Minister added: “The participation of countries from diverse political and economic backgrounds reflects recognition of Syria’s regional role and a clear willingness to engage with it as an economic actor.”
