It’s been a minute since the Cubs had a game in which a player did some things that it, inarguably, The So-and-So Game. That’s not a real thing, of course, and we can play around and have fun whenever we want. But for me, I try to keep the bar kinda high.
And when a guy hits a two-run homer in the 8th inning to tie it, as part of a five-run comeback, and then hits the walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th, it has that feel for me.
Especially when it’s something we haven’t seen a Cubs player do in over two decades:
