ROCHESTER, N.Y. – What is boring for the meteorologist, is pleasant for everyone else. This Labor Day weekend has all the ingredients for beautiful weather including mild temperatures, bright sunshine, a light breeze with plenty of dry weather. We can thank a big dome of high-pressure anchored from the Great Lakes which extends across the northeast. This is a weather system that is moving very slowly so the “uneventful” weather continues into the middle of the week.
Tonight, look for clear, starlit skies. It will be another cool night with the low temperature within a few degrees of 50. Labor Day features more sunshine and after a cool start, it will turn mild again with the high temperature in the mid-70s. The first chance for any rain is likely not until Thursday.
