Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have announced financial support for the families of the 11 people who lost their lives during the stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4. The franchise confirmed that each family will receive ₹25 lakh as part of their newly launched initiative, RCB Cares.
The announcement comes nearly three months after the tragedy that unfolded during RCB’s IPL 2025 victory parade. What was supposed to be a historic celebration of the team’s maiden title turned into a day of grief. It left, not only the city, but the entire country shaken. Not to mention, RCB also revealed their support of Rs 10 lakh to each of the eleven families that lost their dear ones on June 5 as well.
