Nathalie Ring of Singapore has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Michigan beginning in fall 2027.

Thank you to Coach Matt, Coach Aaron and the rest of the Michigan staff for giving me this opportunity. I also want to thank Coach @bobby_hurley and everyone at Tanglin and Trinity who have supported me, along with my family who helped make this possible. GO BLUE!”
Ring swims for Tanglin Merlions and most recently competed at the Singapore National Invitational at the end of August. There she was highlighted by a lifetime best 55.27 SCM 100 free which she swam to the win.
Back in April, Ring competed at the Australian Age Championships where she was 4th in the 100 fly (1:01.27), 6th in the 200 free (2:03.51), 7th in the 50 free (26.01), and 8th in the 100 free (56.37).
Ring’s Best LCM Times (With SCY Conversions Are):
50 free: 25.54 (22.28) 100 free: 56.37 (49.34) 200 free: 2:02.81 (1:47.75)The Michigan women captured the 2026 Big Ten Championship title and went on to finish 6th at the 2026 NCAA Championships with 296 points, finishing right behind 5th place Tennessee’s 301.5 points. Cal was 4th with 303 points. Bella Sims led the Wolverines as she won the NCAA title in the 400 IM.
Based on her best converted times, Ring would already make an impact at the conference level as she would have made the ‘B’ final of the 50 free. She would have been less than half a second off of scoring in the 100 and 200 frees as well.
Ring will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2031 along with Maari Randvali, Sofia Szymanowski, Wui Kiu Man, and Leila Stafford. Ring is the latest Wolverine that represents Singapore at the international level, joining names such as Samantha Yeo (class of 2018) and Letitia Sim (class of 2025).
