Pasadena holding public meeting to review police department military equipment use report

The City of Pasadena is hosting a public meeting Thursday, Sept. 4, to allow the public to review the annual Pasadena Police Department military equipment annual report.

It will be held from 5-6 p.m. at Washington Park Community House, 700 E. Washington Blvd. State law requires that any law enforcement agency intending to use military-type equipment must: develop a military equipment use policy, obtain approval of the policy from the agency’s governing body and publish the proposed or approved policy.

    The Pasadena Police Department’s policy is available online at cityofpasadena.net/police. Thursday’s meeting will be an opportunity to review the department’s 2024-2025 military equipment annual report.
