Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Steffy Forrester will soon be back on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Co-head writer Michael Minnis teased Steffy’s return while previewing the CBS soap opera’s fall story lines.
“She comes back, and she has missed a lot,” Minnis told TV Insider of Steffy in an interview published on Friday, August 29. “She’s concerned about her mom and what happened with Ridge, so she’s serving as a caring, supportive daughter. She has to catch up on the whole Luna situation and everything that’s happened there.”
As for Steffy’s marriage, her time away from Finn (Tanner Novlan) will not cause any problems between them.

“Steffy and Finn are happy and together, so they don’t have any trials or tribulations facing them as a couple at the moment,” Minnis added.
Steffy has been out of town since July after her near-fatal confrontation with Luna (Lisa Yamada). Offscreen, Wood, 38, took a hiatus from filming to go on maternity leave after announcing in a March newsletter that she was expecting her fifth baby with husband Elan Ruspoli.
“I’m almost seven months pregnant! Our family is beyond excited, and my kids are over the moon,” she wrote at the time. “It’s such a special time in our home — so much love, energy and anticipation!”
While Wood acknowledged that there was “a lot going on” in her family, she gushed, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
The couple, who tied the knot in July 2018, previously welcomed sons Rise in March 2019, Lenix in February 2021, Brando in May 2022 and Valor in August 2023. Wood has yet to confirm their fifth baby’s arrival.
As for the future of The Bold and the Beautiful heading into the fall, Minnis revealed that the soap’s writers are “really trying to center the show and get our focus on our couples and our families and maybe take a little breather from some of the really high dramatic stuff that’s been going on.”
