During the Wednesday, August 27, episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, Bush Hager, 43, confessed that Hager, 47, wore makeup when he served as a guest host during a March episode.
She made the revelation while debating with Willie Geist whether or not men should wear makeup on their wedding day. "I will say when Henry was on the show, he did wear a little makeup," Bush Hager shared. "He did look quite handsome. It's good for the complexion."
Geist, 50, then agreed that sometimes wearing a little bit of makeup is necessary in order for the person's skin to not appear washed out on screen.

"Here’s the thing about this job. You can say, 'I don’t wear makeup, I’m a dude.' But the first time you see yourself with all these bright lights, you’ll go, 'Whoa, I look like a ghost,'" he said.
Bush Hager went on to explain that her husband filmed one segment of the show without makeup, though he quickly "regretted it."
After Bush Hager revealed that Hager prefers products for his complexion, Geist explained that he believes there is a certain type of male celebrity who can get away with not wearing makeup while on camera.
"This type of handsome celebrity, when asked, 'Do you want a little bit of makeup?' And they go, 'Nah,'" Geist said, who explained he likes a "light touch" of makeup on his face. "And it’s like, 'God did my makeup. I don’t need makeup.' And I won’t name names."
Bush Hager married Hager in May 2008. The couple decided to expand their family when they welcomed their daughter Mila in 2013, followed by daughter Poppy in 2015 and son Hal in 2019.
