DENVER (KDVR) — The Broomfield Police Department is at the scene of the Woodspring Suites located in Broomfield, where a man has barricaded himself inside a room, police said.
The police department posted to X at around 2 p.m., which said that officers responded to the hotel, located at 121 Edgeview Drive, for a man who was allegedly wanted on several felony violent crime warrants.
The department said that while officers were attempting to arrest the suspect, the man allegedly threw a knife towards the officers, ultimately injuring one of them.

At 2:06 p.m. in an update, the department said the hotel has been evacuated and the Broomfield Crisis Negotiations Team and the SWAT team are on scene.
