Damascus, SANA- As part of the Syrian Ministry of Culture’s efforts to boost international cultural partnerships, Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin Al-Saleh discussed on Tuesday with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Damascus, Umer Hayat Khan, areas of joint cooperation in the cultural sector.
Minister Al-Saleh said that cultural collaboration between Syria and Pakistan serves as a strategic platform for launching joint initiatives in thought, arts, and literature.
He added that Culture plays a vital role as a bridge among peoples, and that the ministry incorporates such partnerships into its broader vision of reviving Syria’s civilizational role regionally and globally.
For his part, Mr. Hayat Khan affirmed Pakistan’s keenness in expanding cultural cooperation with Syria, including strategic projects in cinema, music, language and literature, as well as initiatives focused on preserving and revitalizing cultural heritage.
He said that culture is a fundamental pillar for deepening the historical ties between the two countries and opening new horizons for future collaboration.
