DENVER (KDVR) — A beloved local Mexican restaurant that's been open for more than 40 years is quickly turning into a small chain around the Denver metro area.
La Loma started in a small home with Grandma Mendoza and family recipes before opening its flagship store in Denver in 1981. Now, decades after opening the first restaurant, La Loma has three locations open across the metro.
In May, La Loma opened a spot in Parker, and on Thursday, only a few months after opening its second location, there's now a third La Loma in Greenwood Village.

“Opening our newest La Loma in the Denver Tech Center is such a special moment for us,” Renée said. “Our team has poured endless hours, hard work and passion into bringing this location to life, and I am so proud of what we've created together. We can't wait to welcome guests through our doors, share our award-winning recipes, and create new memories with them. It truly means the world to us to be a part of this community, and we are so grateful to share this new chapter.”
Traditional taqueria coming to Stanley Marketplace this fallThis location still has the same charm as the others, with the well-known large portrait of Grandma Mendoza, red brick arches and oil canvas paintings. The menu will also be similar, with favorites like the Hatch green chile, mini chile rellenos, flautas and chile con queso.
The restaurant said this location will have 255 seats, a covered outdoor patio and a terrace.
La Loma now has locations in Parker, Greenwood Village and downtown Denver.
