Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of distinguished Sambalpuri lyricist, playwright and poet Padma Shri Binod Kumar Pasayat.
In his condolence message, Naveen said, “I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of eminent poet and writer Padma Shri Binod Kumar Pasayat. His contributions to enriching language and literature will always be remembered. I pray for the eternal peace of his soul and extend my heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.”
Padma Shri Binod Kumar Pasayat passed away on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital in Sambalpur. He was 90.
