These remarks came during a meeting to review investment opportunities for vacant lands along the Nile Corniche. The meeting was attended by Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif El Sherbiny, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, Central Agency for Reconstruction head Mahmoud Nassar, Urban Development Fund (UDF) chairman Khaled Siddiq, and others. The attendees discussed the preliminary survey conducted by Cairo Governorate for idle lands in El-Sahel, Rod El-Farag, Bulaq Abul Ela, West Cairo, Dar El-Salam, Ma’sara, Helwan, and Tebbin, with full details on ownership and size. For his part, Cairo governor confirmed full coordination between state property departments, local units, and other authorities to catalog all unused lands under the State Asset Governance Project. Madbouli instructed a swift and comprehensive survey, precise valuation and a clear development plan to ensure optimal use of the properties for economic benefit.
