Stepping up to the plate in the top of the 3rd, Alcantara had 2 outs and a runner on second and third. The fourth-ranked prospect in the Cubs’ system took one slider inside the zone before seeing a sinker fall right into his sweet spot.
Alcantara proceeded to send a rocket deep over the left field wall. The ball flew 104.4 mph off the bat and traveled 405 feet. The homer marked his 14th of the season.

To be sure, Alcantara may not be as hot as he was a few weeks back, but he is still playing some of his best baseball of the season over the last month and a half. The 23-year-old is now recording a slash line of .289/.359/.508/120 WRC+ over the last 35 games.
