Long-time married couples know that after a certain number of years, it becomes a challenge to find the perfect anniversary gift.
That may be the case for most, but Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy figured out the pitch perfect gift to celebrate his 30th year of wedded bliss with his wife, Susie.

Tweedy explained it all in a post he shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 6.
“Susie said that all she wanted for our anniversary this year was for me to complete my mission of throwing out a first pitch at every ballpark in the NL Central. I did it, honey! You’re welcome! Seriously though how lucky can one guy get?!? Here’s to the next 30! OxO ,” he wrote, adding, “(And thanks to the @pittsburghpirates).”
The caption accompanied a carousel of photos, including a sweet black-and-white photo of the young couple as well as a photo of the scoreboard at PNC Park, the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, with the words, “THANK YOU SUSIE! 30 YEARS OF PUTTING UP WITH ME –JEFF TWEEDY.”
The carousel also included a photo of Tweedy sporting a Pirates uniform and cap along with the Pirates mascot and video of Tweedy’s pitch, which skipped once on the ground before reaching the catcher’s mitt.

Fans were quick to comment on the post offering Jeff and Susie a happy anniversary.
“30 is the Baseball Diamond Anniversary, after all. ?,” wrote one fan.
“Oh my god. This is so sweet it’s causing me chest pain ❤️,” another one posted.
“So sweet and f@cking rad, all at once. Happy anniversary. Many happy returns!” another fan wrote.

Tweedy, who is touring with Wilco this fall, recently announced that he has a new triple-album solo release coming soon.
