It's been a dramatic end to the week in EastEnders, with Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) outright accusing one resident of being responsible for her daughter Zoe Slater's (Michelle Ryan) death, while Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) and Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) formed a dangerous deal.
Awash with grief, Kat is still desperately searching for answers surrounding Zoe's demise. She knew that she'd hit her head, though a mysterious 999 call made from her phone could provide further information.
The police arrived at The Vic in today's episode, saying that Zoe could be heard saying "he left me" before the call went dead. Of course, as viewers know, this refers to Max Branning (Jake Wood), who presumed she was drunk.
Emergency services presumed the call was a hoax, and planned to follow up the next day.
Later that day, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) called at the pub and listened to her concerns. Kat was desperate to learn who Zoe was referring to, and suggested speaking to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to see if he could obtain the call log from her phone.
Max sat awkwardly in the kitchen, trying to evade Kat's attention.
Upon returning home, Kat scoured over the numbers and discovered that Zack Hudson (James Farrar) had contacted Zoe on the day she died. She rushed out in the street and launched a verbal attack at him.
Zack was insistent that he'd called Zoe to discuss an order, and that if he had thought anything was wrong with Zoe, he'd have alerted Kat.
Max charged over and told her to stop blaming other people. He spoke about his own experience with losing son Bradley and daughter Abi, though in doing so, made the situation a whole lot worse.

This will only add more fuel to the fire when Kat inevitably finds out about his conversation with Zoe.
Elsewhere, after a naming ceremony for her newborn son Ethan, Penny was enjoying some quiet time in her hospital room. She was pondering over her decision not to tell boyfriend Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) that he may not be the father.
Little did she realise, Priya had overheard her telling Lauren Beale (Jacqueline Jossa), and a confrontation was on the horizon.
It's safe to say that Priya was stunned, though given she's in the same predicament - pregnant with Max's baby and allowing partner Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) believe it's his - she understood where Penny was coming from.
Her out of character acceptance of the situation piqued Penny's interest, and given she was already keeping Priya's pregnancy a secret, she pondered whether Max could be the dad.
Priya's silence was very telling, and so the women were forced to keep shtum for one another's sake.
Will the secrets stay under wraps?
