“Boo is a part of our team,” Heupel said last week. “There are some things he’s got to accomplish to get back on the field.”

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound sophomore recorded 38 total tackles, an interception, and a sack during his first college season. Carter was also solid as a punt returner, with an average of 16.5 yards.
Carter was Mr. Tennessee during his senior season in high school and arrived on campus as the No. 3 prospect from the state.
No. 18 Tennessee begins the 2025 season with a home matchup vs. Syracuse on Aug. 30 (12 p.m. ET/ABC).
