90s Music Icon Resurfaces in Rare New Photos

Among the celebrities who graced the red carpet of a recent charity event in Los Angeles was a electronic music artist who evokes a certain nostalgia.

Moby attended Saturday's "Paws For Comedy: A Charity Comedy Show Benefiting MaeDay Rescue" and posed for photos — and given the event's nature, he's holding an adorable dog for most of the shots.

The event was held at Creature Comforts Taproom and Brewery, and Moby also posed with MaeDay Rescue founder Natalie Garcia.

There were a number of other celebrities in attendance Saturday, including comedian Nikki Glaser — who is set to host the Grammys again next year — as well as actor Andy Richter and comedian Chelsea Peretti.

MaeDay Rescue is a nonprofit dog rescue based in Los Angeles.

"We save hundreds of dogs a year from the shelters and streets through our a foster based program. Sometimes we save cats too! We save dogs of all breeds and all ages," according to the website. "We get to know each dog while in their foster home, and a lot of work goes into finding them their perfect forever home! We offer meet & greets and a one week trial before adopting except for our young puppies as we'd like to keep the bouncing around to a minimum."

While Moby is rarely spotted in public, he has kept busy in the music scene with concerts and new releases. The Grammy-nominated artist and songwriter's latest studio album dropped as recently as last year, and he performed at LA's Cercle Odyssey in May.

Fans might know Moby best for his hit song "Extreme Ways," which he wrote for the Bourne franchise starring Matt Damon. As moviegoers might recall, the catchy track accompanies the closing credits for all four Bourne movies.

In 2019, Moby reentered the spotlight when he publicly apologized to Natalie Portman for how he handled his claim that they once dated. "I have a lot of admiration for Natalie, for her intelligence, creativity, and animal rights activism, and I hate that I might have caused her and her family distress," he stated in an Instagram post.
